Preparatory Centre for the Drop Outs to Complete their School Education

RDT found drop outs, while serving the children in the working areas. Some of the children from the age of 15 and above manifested their interest to complete their school education. They had to discontinue their education due to their family situations. RDT Team members conducted survey in few villages and identified 50 children who discontinued from SSLC and HSC. All these children’s details were collected in view of supporting them. This started as an intervention in the year 2020. The team members initially identified 11 of them who are more interested to complete their 10th Standard. They were given text books and guidance to start the preparation. Special coaching is provided during the week end with subject experts. Followed by that, the other children also will be facilitated to complete their school education in forthcoming days. Children who appear for the SSLC will be motivated to write HSC too.

RDT will see that all these 11 children who dropped out of the school will be supported to appear for their Board examination soon. After this, the other students also will be motivated to appear for the examination. This drive motivates the drop outs to complete their school education and aspires for higher education too. RDT has also admitted children in the school. They were supported with educational materials and school bag.

Child labourers who went for work feel happy that they have come back to get educated with RDT support. Parents also feel happy that their children are becoming qualified. This will have ripple effects in the course of time.
